Why are moving to a new registration portal?  The current site would require us to migrate to a new credit card processor, which (as you may have seen elsewhere) wanted to charge a much larger percentage fee - which would have forced us to raise the price of membership.  

The new site allows us to NOT raise the price of membership, and actually LOWER it to $20 for the 2023-24 year.  There is a small fee that is tacked onto the membership cost, but it still comes out to a lower fee than the 2022-23 fee of $25.
